Directions Haemorrhoids may either be external (around the outside of the back passage) orinternal (inside the back passage). For external use For external haemorrhoids, and itching in the area around the back passage, apply the cream directly. For internal use For internal haemorrhoids, screw the applicator nozzle onto tube and gently insert the applicator into the opening of the back passage. Gently squeeze the tube whilst slowly withdrawing the nozzle so that the ointment moves gently up the back passage. The insertion is eased by smearing some of the ointment on the outside of the nozzle. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after application. Keep the tube of ointment, including cap and nozzle, scrupulously clean. Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Apply to the affected area at least twice a day with a minimum of 3 to 4 hours between applications.
